Breaking Barriers, One Scholarship at a Time

SRAI Scholarships celebrate those making a difference in research administration—whether through leadership, innovation, or service. These awards not only recognize individual achievement but also provide opportunities for continued learning, connection, and growth within the SRAI community.

Global Research Management Summit Scholarship

The Global Research Management Summit will bring together leaders, practitioners, and partners from across the international research management community for three days of exchange, collaboration, and inspiration. Designed as a forward-looking forum, the Summit will highlight global perspectives, innovative practices, and shared strategies to strengthen institutional capacity and advance research management worldwide.

The Global Summit Scholarship will allow two recipients to benefit from access to research administration professionals from across the world in an exchange of knowledge and networking opportunities.

The Scholarship includes complimentary registration to the 2026 Global Research Management Summit (pre-conference workshops and SRAI membership are not included) and three nights hotel accommodation at the official conference hotel.

A special review committee will convene to consider all applications when the submission deadline has closed. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by January 30, 2026.

Applicants must provide the following:

  • A letter of support from your supervisor or institutional contact providing a financial guarantee for your travel, OR a confirmation letter stating that the person is coming to the meeting and they will pay any additional costs incurred (the second option is regarding individuals who may be transitioning from one position to another).
  • A brief statement of your financial need (no more than 150 words).
  • A brief description of your educational needs and how conference attendance will contribute to your professional development. How will your participation and knowledge gained provide an impact when you return to your institution? (250-500 words)
  • Please indicate how you would like to become engaged with SRAI. Identify your perceived benefits of being an SRAI member and the type of day-to-day SRAI activities that you would like to volunteer for or seek a leadership position.

Recipients of the Global Summit Scholarship must provide a brief follow-up report within three months after the SRAI Global Research Management Summit and how they have started to become/stayed involved in SRAI. This report may be considered for publication within the Catalyst Newsletter.

The scholarship is open to everyone, both existing members and those who intend to join SRAI. Please note, the scholarship only covers the full meeting registration and three nights hotel accommodation at the official conference hotel; full member SRAI dues are the responsibility of the applicant and must be paid in full prior to receiving the scholarship. The applicant must NOT be a prior recipient of an SRAI scholarship within the past five years
