    আমাদের দেশ-এ কেন্দ্রে রাজ্যসভা এবং রাজ্যে বিধান পরিষদ -এর কোনও প্রয়োজন নেই।

    রাজনৈতিক নেতা-নেত্রীদের কি কোন বিচক্ষণতা, দূরদর্শিতা ও সততা থাকতে নেই?

    বিধান পরিশদের সদস্যগণ কি কাজটা করবে? পছন্দের ও ‘নিজের’ লোকেদের ধরে ধরে বিধান পরিশদে বসিয়ে বসিয়ে মাইনা দেওয়া হবে? টাকাটা কোথা থেকে আসবে? এমনিতেই ২ লক্ষ কোটি টাকা দেনা। তার কি হবে? কে শোধ করবে?

    দোহাই আর আমাদের ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মকে বন্ধক রেখে বর্তমান প্রজন্মকে খুশি করার দরকার নেই। ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মকে ঋণী করার দরকার নেই।

    মমতা ব্যনারজির কাছে আমরা দূরদর্শিতা ও সততা আশা করি। বিশ্বাস করি ‘বিধান পরিষদের’ এই ভুল চিন্তা থেকে বেরিয়ে এসে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বাসীকে ঋণের বোঝা থেকে মুক্তি দেবেন।

    যাদের কোন আউটপুট নেই তাদের পিছনে পয়সা খরচ করার মানে — অর্থনৈতিক অজ্ঞানতা।

    Although ‘democracy’,so far found to be the best form of government, it may not always give what majority of the people desires and the Majority Will may not always be good for the majority. It is found that although most of the people did not want to be governed by the Left,West Bengal was forced to endure the misrule for decades. Criminals may be choosed by the people as honourabe lawmakers and in fact there are huge number of criminials in the Houses. Bidhan Parishad, if formed more scientficaly may provide extra protection against such danger. The Parishad may act as the guardian of all specialised committies and bodies and may also be formed by different type of election where only specially qualified people may be elected by equally qualified electorate. Let the roads be built by qualified engineers and hospitals managed by doctors and not by allknowing ignorant popular leaders.I think even Mamata Banerjee,the leadern of the House who enjoys unquestionable support of huge members has little faith on their wisdom and intigrity and seeks help of a body of experts like Bidhan Parishad.A democratic Bidhan Parishad aimed at strengethening democracy rather than to suppress may result good to the society.
    Another thing we may keep in mind that majority opinion may not always good for the society. Most of the people, including educated people and members of House believe in superstitions like Astrology,Witchcraft,Religion,ghosts, gods etc which creat social problems and envenom the earth. When Astrlogy was declared by Government authority as illigal, unethical and enemy to the mankind and officially declared astrologers as criminials, the honourable members of the Parliament under leadership of Mr Murli Mohan Joshi

    ……of Murli Mohan Joshi was trying to include Astrlogy in University curriculam. Such type of misdeeds of a majority government may to some extent be prevented by a Upper House.

    দেশ স্বাধীনতার পর গোটা বারো রাজ্যে বিধান পরিষদ ছিল।বর্তমানে দেশের মধ্যে জম্মু কাশ্মির, উত্তরপ্রদেশ , অন্ধ্রপ্রদেশ, বিহার, মহারাষ্ট্র,কর্নাটক ছাড়া কোথাও বিধান পরিষদ নেই। অর্থাৎ এর অপ্রয়োজনীয়তা প্রমানিত। পশ্চিমবঙ্গেও ১৯৬৯ সাল অবধি ছিল। তার পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী অজয় মুখারজির সময় বিধানসভা এবং বিধান পরিষদের অনুমতি নিয়েই তা অপ্রয়োজনীয় মেনে নিয়ে বাতিল করা হয়। আবার কেন অপ্রয়োজনীয় খরচের বিলাসিতা ?

    What’s wrong if Bidhan Parisad includes those who are honest, progressive minded and above all rational (like the members of Srai/HA) and for the State’s sake their services are taken as Honorary?
