Clinical Research Budget & Billing Mini-Intensive

Clinical research study budgeting & billing is highly complex and often misunderstood. In this course, presenters aim to teach learners the best practices for building a clinical research study budget and identifying the downstream impacts on the organization & patient experience. This course will cover pre-award & post-award topics to allow learners to wholistically understand coverage analysis, budget development, and clinical billing & sponsor invoicing.

Learners should walk away with an understanding of the fundamentals of budget development, including sponsor negotiations, direct & indirect costs, and budget templates. Areas of focus will include study documents & budget alignment, billing compliance & ethical considerations, effective negotiation practices, post-award financial management, & technology integrations. The mini-intensive will include real-world scenarios utilizing case studies and exercises to allow attendees to experience hands-on learning.
